Ann Thai, head of App Store, released a new game application (Games APP) today on WWCDC, which will be a central hub for player ‘ s game library, social specs and Apple Arcade subscriptions, given that over 500 million users currently use iPhone.

According to Apple, the game application integrates Apple Arcade, App Store, Game Center and individualized referral, and serves as a central entry point for apple game ecology. The game application will be updated with iOS 19 and macos Sequoia in autumn 2025, covering iPhone, iPad and Mac devices. Apply the main play “Sniper Game Experience” to support synchronisation of progress across devices and enhancement of reality (AR) games.

The application re-engineered the game experience through five core modules: Home, which generates individualized referral streams based on user-play history; Library, which centralizes all downloaded content; Arcade, which independently showcases more than 200 award-winning games in subscription services; Search (Search) functions fast-tracking new tour; and the innovative Play Together social panel, which supports the viewing of best friends ‘ real-time dynamics and collaborative challenges.

At the same time, the automating upgrade of Game Center has enhanced community-based connectivity, enabling players to have instant access to game updates and activity information and to switch seamlessly between individual collections and multiple interactions. The application of deep integration of Apple Arcade subscriptions and the optimization of cross-equipment performance based on metal 4 graphic technology mark the strategic upgrading of apples to complete game ecology from content discovery to social experience.

“It’s a brand-new one-stop game base”, Ann Thai says, “It helps the player quickly immersed in the favorite game, discovers the next favorite and has more fun with friends. Players are here to keep abreast of all game developments, including major events and updates, to ensure that no good moments are missed. James APP is also the best way to experience Apple Arcade.”

In 2024, with a global mobile game market of $98 billion, Apple Store contributed $40 billion, or 41 per cent of global mobile game revenues, although Apple faced regulatory pressure from the European Union and the United States due to the use and distribution restrictions of App Store. The launch of Games APP was seen as an apple-response strategy to improve user viscosity by integrating game ecology while reducing reliance on third-party distribution platforms.
