According to PocketGamer, Mike Verdu, a former Netflix game executive, and Mark Pincus, founder of Zynga Social Games, created a new artificial-intelligence game start-up company called Playful.AI, which focuses on changing game development through the generation of AI technology.
According to Playful.AI’s registration documents, its registered address is located in San Francisco, California, with the goal of “reshaping game development and experience with artificial intelligence”. Pincus and Verdu will serve as joint chief executive officers. Verdu is also the chief financial officer of the company. In addition, Richard Sun, a former director of the Netflix Game Generation Artificial Intelligence, joined the company as Chief Technical Officer.
It is worth mentioning that Playful.AI was founded only a few months before Verdu left Netflix Gomes. Verdu has been leading Netflix ‘ s game department since 2021, but last year, his position was replaced by Alain Tascan, former Executive Vice President of Epic Gomes Development, who became President.
Verdu was subsequently transferred to the position of Vice-President of Game Generation Artificial Intelligence.
