The monster hunters of Supercell’s hand-swaming giant, Mo.co, announced that they would be formally reactivated on 21 May with the new monthly pass structure and (free of charge) card-drawing mechanism.

Appmagic estimates show that since March 2025, the game has been phased in and tested in small areas, and to date has received nearly $4.7 million in-house purchases and 8.5 million downloads. The top five markets, by income, were the United States (26 per cent of lifetime purchases), Germany (9 per cent), France (8 per cent), Korea (5 per cent) and Italy (4 per cent).
Mo.co has subverted the traditional art style of Supercell ‘ s past tribal conflict, the wild war, and has for the first time used a twilight-two-dimensional visual effect, combining the multiplayers of Monsterhunter and the saplings of Darkness. The main player plays “unburdened socialization”, with a single game playing for a very short period of time, using a seamless inter-dimensional approach, where the player can spend five minutes on a fast-hunting exercise and can explore with his best friend for a long, intense, in-depth copy.

Although the game began with a lively discussion of innovative play, several months after long-line operations, its core ills, such as “duplication of game content, lack of meaning in post-growth growth, and match-making with robots”, began to be exposed. So Supercell decided to recreate the game and create a new version.
In addition to new weapons and a variety of play practices and institutional adjustments, the renewed Mo.co will introduce a new season pass with “weapons sprints”, through which players can get more in-kind incentives. The new card incentive, called “Perks”, is also available through the Participation Pass.
Community manager Joao Freitas subsequently clarified on platform X that players could not afford to buy Perks and that “there was no plan to monetize them”. He also reiterated that the profit model of Mo.co was still limited to the appearances. The season will last for one month, during which contracts, expeditions and weapons tunnels will be launched. There is also a new model called “Score Hunting” and another “Foundable Hunter Road” incentive system for hardcore players.

Joao Freitas says, “From the top of the game to the next, we have gone through a long journey. The update was significant and contained many new functions. We will test new content, so the feedback from players is crucial. Please contact us through social media, Discord or inside the game. Let’s build this game together, thank everyone who’s been supporting us.”
“We know that you have waited long enough, but we hope that all this is worth it. And this is just the beginning. There will be more in the next update.”

Last October, after Supercell announced that it would shut down Squad Busters, Mo.co players began to speculate that the monster hunting game would be the next to be cut off, because it earned a relatively low income as a Supercell game. Supercell later insisted that the game would not be cut, but indicated that it would be restarted.
